MARINA JONES | ENGLISH NATIONAL OPERA (UK)
Marina Jones is Executive Director, Development & Public Affairs at English National Opera and has over 20 years experience in arts fundraising. Marina is a leading cultural expert on legacy fundraising, having led original research into why donors leave gifts to cultural charities and securing a distinction in her a Masters in Philanthropic Studies. Marina has taught legacy fundraising on the National Arts Fundraising School, for Culture and Business Scotland and led sessions for Development teams and committees at Royal Ballet and Opera, Sadlers Wells and the Orange Tree Theatre. Marina spent 13 years at the Royal Ballet and Opera working on campaigns, supporter engagement, legacies and trusts and foundations. Marina is a keen behavioural scientist experimenting and writing on how to use decision science to improve fundraising and donor communications with a book coming out on this subject in 2025 written with Bernard Ross. Marina leads Rogare (fundraising think tank) history of fundraising project and is also a trustee of the Orange Tree Theatre, Tunbridge Wells Puppetry Festival Theatre and Pusey House.
